The Competition Board of Türkiye has formally initiated an investigation into Dyson Turkey Elektrikli Ürünler Tic. Ltd. Şti. (Dyson) to determine whether the company may have violated Article 4 of Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition. Dyson Turkey operates in the sale and marketing of durable consumer goods, including corded and cordless vacuums, air purifiers, hair care equipment, hair and hand dryers, lighting, wearable technology products, and various industrial and domestic cleaning equipment.
The investigation follows findings from on-site inspections conducted during a preliminary inquiry. In its meeting on 6 November 2025, the Board decided to proceed under Article 41 of Act no 4054 to examine potential anticompetitive practices by Dyson. Specifically, the investigation will assess whether Dyson engaged in conduct aimed at preventing parallel imports or intervening in resale, and whether the company’s selective distribution system and related practices may have restricted competition.
The Competition Board emphasized that public announcement of an investigation decision does not imply that Dyson has violated the Act or that any sanctions will be imposed. The disclosure serves to inform the public about ongoing proceedings while respecting the rights of the undertaking under investigation.
