The Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic (AMO) announced the initiation of administrative proceedings to assess a proposed concentration involving KAUMY GROUP a.s. (Prague, Czech Republic) and NOVOFRUCT SK, s.r.o. (Nové Zámky, Slovakia).
The transaction concerns the acquisition of exclusive control by KAUMY GROUP over NOVOFRUCT SK, a company active in the production and preparation of homogenized and dietetic foods (sector C.10.86 according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities).
In accordance with Slovak competition law, the AMO has invited third parties—both natural and legal persons—to submit comments, objections, or information relevant to the notified concentration. The authority has requested that any such submissions be provided as soon as possible, ideally within one week of the publication of this notice, to enable their consideration during the first phase of the assessment.
This review will determine whether the proposed acquisition could significantly impede effective competition in the relevant markets in Slovakia, particularly in the food production and dietetic nutrition segments.
