The Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic has initiated administrative proceedings to assess a proposed concentration in the market for the production, distribution and sale of coffee and tea products. On 19 November 2025, the Office began examining a transaction whereby Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., headquartered in Burlington, USA, seeks to acquire exclusive control over JDE Peet’s NV, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. JDE Peet’s is active in Slovakia through its subsidiary JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS SK s.r.o., located in Bratislava, and operates primarily within the wholesale segment for coffee, tea, cocoa and spices.

In accordance with Slovak competition law, third parties—including both natural and legal persons—may submit comments, objections or any relevant information concerning the notified concentration. The Office encourages interested parties to provide their input as promptly as possible, ideally within one week from the publication of the notice, in order to allow the authority to consider these submissions within the statutory deadlines applicable to the first-phase assessment.
