This move is expected to bolster Holcim’s operations in Peru and accelerate growth across Latin America.

Strengthening Market Position in Latin America

Compañía Minera Luren, a family-owned company established in 1956, specializes in high-value building materials, including energy-efficient walling systems that integrate insulation with specialty mortars. With a workforce of 377 employees, the company has built a strong reputation in the Peruvian construction industry.

By acquiring Compañía Minera Luren, Holcim aims to enhance its product portfolio and provide fully integrated solutions, ranging from foundation and flooring to walling and roofing. Oliver Osswald, Region Head Latin America at Holcim, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating: “The acquisition of Compañía Minera Luren will expand Holcim’s product portfolio while accelerating growth in Latin America. Compañía Minera Luren’s walling systems will advance Holcim’s ability to offer customers fully integrated end-to-end solutions. I warmly welcome all of Compañía Minera Luren’s employees into the Holcim family.”

Holcim’s NextGen Growth 2030 Strategy

This acquisition aligns with Holcim’s broader NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, which focuses on sustainability and expansion in key markets, including Latin America, Europe, North Africa, and Australia. Holcim aims to leverage industrialization trends and increasing demand for sustainable construction solutions in these regions.

Through its NextGen Growth 2030 plan, Holcim has committed to expanding its high-value building solutions portfolio, increasing the use of circular construction materials, and driving profitability. With a target of recycling over 20 million tons of demolition materials and reducing emissions, Holcim is reinforcing its leadership in sustainable construction.

Holcim’s Commitment to Sustainable and Innovative Building Solutions

Holcim is a global leader in innovative and sustainable building materials, with net sales of CHF 26.4 billion in 2024 and a workforce of 65,000 employees. The company partners with customers worldwide to deliver advanced building solutions, including ECOPact and ECOPlanet for sustainable construction, as well as ECOCycle® for circular construction technology.
