Holcim has officially completed the acquisition of Compañía Minera Luren, a leading Peruvian producer of specialty building solutions.
This move is expected to bolster Holcim’s operations in Peru and accelerate growth across Latin America.
Strengthening Market Position in Latin America
Compañía Minera Luren, a family-owned company established in 1956, specializes in high-value building materials, including energy-efficient walling systems that integrate insulation with specialty mortars. With a workforce of 377 employees, the company has built a strong reputation in the Peruvian construction industry.
By acquiring Compañía Minera Luren, Holcim aims to enhance its product portfolio and provide fully integrated solutions, ranging from foundation and flooring to walling and roofing. Oliver Osswald, Region Head Latin America at Holcim, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating: “The acquisition of Compañía Minera Luren will expand Holcim’s product portfolio while accelerating growth in Latin America. Compañía Minera Luren’s walling systems will advance Holcim’s ability to offer customers fully integrated end-to-end solutions.
